Castilla (Cassy) was a born storyteller. The daughter or the famous actor, Malcom Richardson, she was taken to all parts of the Federation. She was first published when she was 17 with her best-selling novel series starring Nicholas Storm, a powerful protagonist and mystery detective. Her life path changed, however, when the planet she was on came upon a real mystery as a mysterious disease started to hit the population. With the help of the local law enforcement agency, as well as a brilliant StarFleet clinician, Beck Katrin, she helped to discover the cause of the disease as a biological weapon that had been buried and forgotten in a war long ago. The heat of the investigation led to a great deal of heat off the screen as well. She married Beck in wedding much anticipated an attended.
The new outlook on life led Cassy to turn her studies to forensic medicine and archeology. She saw too many people die that day due to hatreds long buried where they should have stayed. Her studies never interfered with her writing, if anything it helped to fuel her imagination and she is considered one of the most prolific writers of her age. Unfortunately, her success in life did not equate to success in marital happiness. After the birth of their son, the stress of life had worn down the couple and they parted ways. Around this time, her father’s success had started to wane and after another highly publicized divorce, he quietly moved in with his daughter and grandson…well…”quietly” being a “relative” term.
Never being able to recover from the separation of the love of her life, Cassey was involved in a string of rather public marriages and even more public divorces. Her heart was to go through a true tragedy, however, when Beck left to go on a mission to research the possibility of another hidden weapon when he and his entire away team disappeared. No sign of the shuttle, people, equipment has ever been found. Cassey, much to the chagrin of her father, joined Star Fleet in the hopes she can help to find the lost love of her life. Her son decided to follow her onboard, even after the ebullient offer from her father to let the young man stay with him. Kandan is a definite blend of his mother and father, leaning more towards the seriousness of his Dad.

Hobbies: Cassey is a fervent theater fan and holo-vid viewer. Many of her novels have been turned into well received video adaptations. She is also a dedicated researcher and ancient civilizations are her passion.
Dislikes: People who try to hide their inner passion is a difficult thing for her to understand. She is also not a huge fan of authority. While not a technophobe, she would rather have a paper trail to staring into some computer screen mindlessly entering data.
