November 3, 2427 - The Federation Starship USS Phoenix, under the command of Captain Greg Coulson, has reported that it has intercepted the Klingon vessel IKS Sword of Kahless near the recently reestablished Klingon Neutral Zone. The Phoenix has been tasked with escorting Klingon Chancellor Krenek, Son of Kol to Earth for the peace summit hosted by Acting Federation President Gruzy.
Krenek is well known as being one of the strongest opponents of the Federation/Klingon Alliance and is the former Military Governor of the Archanis Sector. Krenek recently came to power after being victorious in a ritual duel with former Chancellor of the High Council Pok, Son of Torghn. Since rising to power Krenek has already strengthened the border between Federation and Klingon Space and issued more intense patrols with many warships being moved to patrol routes along key sectors including Khitomer.
The Federation News Service will continue to report on the status of President Gruzy's peace summit.

A New Home?
March 03, 2018 - After a great deal of discussion the crews of the USS Atlantis, the USS Hippocrates, and United Protectors have decided to explore a new posting system for our organization. While the games of the 16th Fleet have been hosted by Yahoo Groups since their inception, many recent issues have popped up that have led to an exploration of a new host group for these games. The leaders of these three groups have agreed to be the prototypes for our potential new home on | Groups.IO.

IC: Ambassador Gruzy Elected Federation President
February 1, 2428 - In a surprising turn Purist Ambassador Gruzy of New Xindus has been elected President of the United Federation of Planets. In what was considered one of the closest races of the modern era the election came down to the surprisingly turn of Contemporary world Betazed and Patriot stronghold Bajor to Ambassador Gruzy's side. More surprising was that the Internist Party candidate, Ambassador Jocal Tenaras of Xyrillia, came in a near close second in this election.
