The words of Captain Pike ring true now more than ever: The 16th Fleet is looking for the next generation of Starfleet Officer to build a future that we can all be proud of. Created in 2001, the 16th Fleet has been an active part of the Star Trek PBEM community since its inception and has been home to a diverse cast of characters from all over the world. Called by some a realistic, grounded portrayal of the Star Trek universe, we focus on character driven storylines and world building. A place for veterans and newcomers, the 16th Fleet and its leadership want to actively embrace the feelings of camaraderie and friendship that drove the tabletop games of yesteryear.

While making preparations for President Gruzy's christening ceremony, Lieutenant Commander Vauan Nerj of Starfleet One has disappeared. The investigative team lead by Commander Nathan Hawkins and Doctor Sherwin Porter has found the Security Chief's communicator and tricorder, but there is no trace of the Commander himself.

Starfleet Headquarters is pleased to announce that the Federation Starship Thall in nearing completion at Spacedock. A Norway Class vessel, the Starship Thall has been placed under the command of Captain Finchley Kerr and is planned to be launched early this year as part of the 16th Fleet.

The ship has lost power following an accident involving its Coaxial Drive and has been set adrift in the Minos Korva Sector.
