Subspace Phenomena

Subspace Phenomena

Astral Eddy
Astral eddys are a partially subspace phenomenon known for extreme turbulence, devastating plasma discharges, and generating considerable radiation.
Subspace Compression
A situation caused when an object is partially encased in a subspace field and causes it to experience different inertial densities - potentially causing destruction. In some instances this phenomenon has been observed to cause an affected vessel to shrink.
Subspace Field Distortion
Subspace fluctuations that are detected emanating from any vessel capable of creating a Warp field.
Subspace Funnel
Similar to a Wormhole, a Subspace Funnel subspace forms a link between two points that matter and energy can pass through.
Subspace Instability
A region in which the fabric of space has become weakened. In these areas certain Warp Drives can cause the instability to break down further into a Subspace Rift.
Subspace Interphase Pocket
A Subspace Interphase Pocket is a region of space where multiple parallel universes may overlap, creating a gateway between multiple regions. Persons exposed to this phenomenon often experience psychosis.
Subspace Node
A region that is a naturally occurring bubble of curved space-time that prevents stellar formation.
Subspace Rebound
A Subspace Rebound is an echo in subspace caused by the usage of a transporter utilizing a dimensional shift to operate.
Subspace Rift
The result of the further degradation of a Subspace Instability, a Subspace Rift is an opening in normal space exposing subspace and trapping any vessel which comes in contact with it.
Subspace Rupture
Not to be confused with a Subspace Rift, a Subspace Rupture is an anomaly that acts like a whirlpool and sucks matter into it.
Subspace Sandbar
A dangerous phenomenon that negates a warp field.
Subspace Shockwave
Normally caused by the destruction of a Warp Core, a Subspace Shockwave is a dangerous pulse wave that extends outward from the source at speeds exceeding the light speed barrier.
Subspace Sinkhole
A Subspace Sinkhole is a region out of phase with normal space that disables vessels and draws them inside. While their entrance may be small, the internal volume can encompass an entire star system.
Subspace Tear
Created by the detonation of a subspace weapon, a Subspace Tear allows subspace to infiltrate normal space.
Subspace Vacuole
A Subspace Vacuole links two points and allows matter and energy located at the two points to switch places.
Subspace Void
A dangerous anomaly in subspace, a Subspace Void is a closed structure which neither matter nor energy can penetrate and can only be breached vis funnels that infrequently form to pull more matter into the region.
